Paraffin
We offer reliable solutions to your sector with our diversity of products and quality in paraffin.
About Paraffin Wax
Paraffin wax, primarily obtained as a by-product of crude oil refining, is purified through specialized techniques to improve its oil content, congealing point, color, and odor, making it ready for use. Paraffin waxes featuring a wide variety of characteristics and crystalline structures—with congealing points ranging from 45°C to 72°C and oil content between 1% and 35%—are manufactured by Mercan Kimya and supplied to customers.
Applications & Fields of Use
Paraffin wax is widely used in numerous sectors, predominantly candle making, as well as forestry, paper, construction, agriculture, coating, physical therapy, medicine, and cosmetics. Due to its inherent hydrophobic and chemically inert properties, paraffin wax is frequently employed as a water-repellent agent in applications where moisture is undesirable or causes adverse effects.
Industrial Use
Used in industries such as candles, matches, paper, textiles, batteries, lamination, gunpowder, pencils, crayons, polishing, enamel, cables, chrome plating, investment casting, leather, knitting, electronic circuit soldering, chipboard, egg trays, concrete formwork, and concrete additives.
Medical & Cosmetics
Used in physical therapy, cosmetics, medicine, and pathology for heat therapy, insulation, and protective coating purposes.
Custom Design & R&D
Mercan Kimya is committed to continuous research, improvement, and development. Driven by an innovative and deep-rooted R&D culture, in addition to standard paraffin products, Mercan Kimya also formulates custom paraffin designs in close collaboration with clients based on bespoke requirements or specific industrial application demands.
