Mercan Kimya was founded in 1977 by Gültekin Okay Salgar. In our production facility located in Denizli, we develop and produce customized formulations tailored to the needs of diverse industries, primarily paraffin wax, paraffin emulsion, petroleum jelly, and liquid paraffin.

Our Milestones
Founded as a sole proprietorship by Gültekin Okay SALGAR and began paraffin wax production.
Incorporated into a joint-stock company under the official title of Mercan Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.
Dermokim Kimya was founded.
Cosmer Kimya was established.
Rowax Global SRL commenced its operational activities in Romania.
Through strategic acquisitions, Gos Deri, Teknoder, Dermokim, and Cosmer Kimya were wholly incorporated into our corporate group.
Mercan Kimya was officially certified as an authorized R&D Center by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye.
Accepted into the Turquality Brand Incentive Scheme, and the remaining shares of Rowax Global were fully acquired.
Awarded the Investment Incentive Certificate for biocidal product manufacturing.
Our company shares were publicly offered on Borsa Istanbul (BIST). (BIST:MERCN)
Granted the official product license for Biocidal Type 2 products.
Acquired a 30% equity stake in Fevup Brands.
Acquired a 30% equity stake in Theca Packaging.
Completed the acquisition of a 51% controlling majority stake in Fevup Brands.
Digital Transformation & Innovation: Initiated an enterprise-wide technology transformation roadmap by digitalizing operational infrastructures.
