He was born in Denizli in 1983. After completing his undergraduate studies at Koç University, Department of Business Administration, he earned his master's degree from UC Berkeley in the United States.
He currently serves actively as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Mercan Kimya and its Group companies.
Distinguished by his expertise in financial and corporate governance, Berkin Salgar holds CMB Level 3, Credit Rating, Corporate Governance, and CICS (Certified International Control Specialist) licenses.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Berkin Salgar is married and the father of one child.
