Gültekin Okay SALGAR

He was born in Kars in 1953. He completed his primary and secondary education respectively at Denizli Gazi Primary School, Merkez Middle School, and Denizli High School. After studying at Darmstadt Technical University (Germany) between 1971 and 1972, he returned to Turkey and graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Ankara State Academy of Architecture and Engineering.

Following his graduation, he brought the paraffin wax manufacturing model he had studied in Germany to Turkey and launched domestic production. Embarking on his commercial journey with the sole proprietorship he established in 1977, he has spearheaded numerous successful projects spanning over 43 years.

Actively engaged in industry associations and non-governmental organizations, Salgar serves on the Board of Directors of organizations such as TÜRKONFED, GESİFED, DESİAD, and GEKA. Additionally, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Denizli Chamber of Industry from 2005 to 2016.

Fluent in German and English, Gültekin Okay Salgar is married and the father of two children.
